Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the KaamConnect mobile app and website (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Vimla Choudhary, sole proprietor, trading as KaamConnect ("KaamConnect", "we", "us"), registered at VPO Allahpur, Dist. Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan 322001, India. Services are currently offered in Palava, Dombivli East, Thane, Maharashtra. By creating an account or making a booking you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. What KaamConnect is
KaamConnect is a platform that connects customers with independent, verified service professionals ("Saathis") for home services such as plumbing, electrical work, cooking, instant help, pickup & drop and similar services listed in the app. Saathis perform the services; KaamConnect arranges the booking, verifies Saathis, collects online payments on their behalf and handles support.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). Keep your phone and OTPs private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give accurate details (name, address, society) — Saathis rely on them to reach you.
3. Bookings
- A booking is confirmed when it appears in My Activities. Services, slots and prices are those shown in the app at the time you book.
- Services only start with the start code shown in your app and only close with the completion code — do not share these codes before the Saathi is with you.
- A Saathi may propose extra work on the spot. It is charged only if you accept it in the app.
- Some services may be marked "Coming soon" or temporarily unavailable (for example during maintenance); they cannot be booked until they are live.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and include any visit fee shown before you confirm. Applicable taxes, where charged, are shown in the app.
- You can pay online through our payment partner Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets) or, where offered, in cash to the Saathi after the job. For some bookings online payment may be required.
- We do not store your card or UPI credentials; they are handled by Razorpay.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Saathis
Every Saathi completes identity verification (including Aadhaar-based KYC through a licensed provider) and is approved by us before receiving any job. Saathis are independent professionals, not our employees. We expect them to behave respectfully, follow safety practices and complete the work booked. You can rate every job and report any problem in the app.
6. Your responsibilities
- Be present (or have someone present) at the booked time, and provide safe access to the work area.
- Treat Saathis with respect. Harassment, abuse or discrimination of any kind will lead to suspension.
- Do not arrange or pay for Platform-booked work outside the app, misuse OTPs, create fake bookings or reviews, or attempt to interfere with the Platform.
7. Ratings and reviews
Ratings and reviews must be honest and about the job. We may hide reviews that are abusive, fake or unrelated to the service.
8. Liability
- We take reasonable care in verifying Saathis and running the Platform, but services are performed by the Saathi. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking through the Platform.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot be excluded.
9. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or put others at risk. You may close your account at any time — see how to delete your account.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date will change and, for material changes, we will notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Thane, Maharashtra.
